Setting a New Year's Intention
Deeper than a surface-level New Year’s resolution, an intention is more than an attempt to lose weight or get organized. The word intention comes from Latin and is rooted in “stretching” or “purpose.” A new year is a great opportunity to reflect on the growth of our previous year and create some purpose and meaning for the time to come.
Discerning an intention can direct us and give us a sense of purpose. Focusing your heart on what’s important to you and how you want to live your life can help cultivate peace in our lives. Even while the future is largely uncertain, we can point our spirits towards the things we can control.
Our time of reflection will finish with an easy craft project to help us remember what it is we want to bring with us into 2023.
Join us on Saturday, January 14th at Emmaus House, as April Young leads attendees in a time of reflection to better discern how we can move into 2023.
