Self-Care:
An Act of Love & Renewal (Part II)
Unfortunately, this retreat has been postponed. We will announce the new date as soon as it is rescheduled.
"The first is...you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this, 'you shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these." (Mark 12:29-31)
Self-care is an act of love, a way of entering into the invitation to love, not only God and others, but also ourselves. It is a way of living as the Beloved, and tenderly receiving that which is needed in order to continue serving others and the world.

After a long and challenging time, this fall may seem to be a continuation of the stress and heartache we've grown accustomed to in our lives. Many of us find ourselves tired and weary of caring for others in the midst of a global crisis. Therefore, it is as important as ever to care for ourselves.
Take heart, self-care does not need to be heroic or demanding, but can be gently experienced through our simple, daily human needs and rhythms. Join us as we reflect on areas of life that can be received as opportunities for restorative and compassionate self-care and renewing God's love and life within.
This retreat is a continuation of the self-care retreat in February, offering new reflections on areas of life that naturally include self-care. If you were able to join us for Part I, you will encounter new ways in which to explore self-care during these tumultuous times. If you weren't able to join us for Part I, you are more than welcome to join us for this retreat. No previous information is necessary in order to attend. All are welcome!

Date: Saturday, September 25th
Time: 8:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.
