"And now we welcome the new year, full of things that have never been."
- Rainer Maria Rilke

Any threshold time is an opportunity to look at our past as we prepare to enter the new. The end of a year and start of a new one has long held hopes, dreams, goals and even "resolutions" to look ahead.

Using the wisdom of the Ignatian Examen, participants will review the past twelve months with God, calling to mind the gifts they received - and the gifts that were hard to receive. With hearts full of the fruits of prayer, they will then turn to looking toward 2026, calling to mind God's presence and voicing an intention for the 12 months ahead.

The day will close with a short - and easy - craft to keep our intention on our minds, hearts and in our field of view throughout the year.
