A Lenten Movement Experience
Lent is upon us. During this holy season, we are invited to open our hearts, minds, and bodies, and breathe new insights into our lives. Through intentional cooperation with the Spirit, Embodied Prayer is one way we do this, offering our bodies as living sacrifices (Romans 12:1).
This form of prayer incorporates gentle movements, steeped in a prayerful atmosphere. It invites a relaxing of our whole selves, a filling of our minds and hearts with the Scriptures, and a listening for the loving guidance of the Spirit. With the recognition of our Lord's own death and resurrection, in Embodied Prayer we aim to accept our vulnerabilities and receive strength from God for continued resilience and service as we move along in these uncertain times. All are welcome.
This group will gather for five Fridays during Lent.
